<p>Recycle it.  And possibly get paid for it while you&#8217;re at it.  Just stumbled upon <a href="http://www.gazelle.com" target="_blank">Gazelle</a>, an online recycling site which will take your used electronics and give you cash.  I have had an aging iBook for several years now, and since I have lost all faith in <a href="http://www.ebay.com" target="_blank">eBay</a>, Gazelle seems like a good choice to investigate.  They accept cell phones, laptops, mp3 players and various other electronics and peripherals.  Not only do you feel good about keeping your electronics (and the toxic heavy metals that most contain) out of the landfill, but you get a little scratch as an added bonus.  </p>
